This accessibility statement applies to the AVC Wise website and forms for our core services. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, you should be able to:

 

  • In full screen mode you can zoom up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen

  • Resize text and adjust line, letter and word spacing

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We have an accessibility working group that explores options to improve accessibility, including:

  • Engaging with third-party providers to ensure the platforms we use are accessible

  • Training everyone that publishes to the web in creating accessible content

  • Providing guidance to services on creating accessible multimedia content

  • We continuously check image alt tags and reading order of new webpages as they are added

 

 

Preparation of this accessibility statement
 

This statement was prepared February 2024.

This website was last tested February 2024.
 

The testing was carried out on the www.avcwise.co.uk domain.
 

Testing was completed against all criteria and categories of WCAG 2.1. AA
 

Testing was carried out against the top 50% of pages visited in the previous six months representing 22 pages. In addition, a further random 10 pages were tested.
 

The range of pages tested covered all types of function in use including images, input controls, pdf documents, forms and video.

All videos displaying on the website are subtitled and audio-visual transcripts are available for users to download.  
 

The testing was carried out by our web development team supported by our testing team and technical support team. The experience of these teams covers web development, UI design, assistive methods, validation and testing, WCAG 2.1 techniques and web accessibility across device.
 

The testing was carried out using automated tools (WAVE), Tower plugin, DevTools Axe-core 4.8.2 plugin, manual walkthroughs, subject testing and utilisation of screen readers. Colour contrast checks were also carried out within the Wix platform.
